Baobros23 is more than just a restaurant; it’s a family affair. I’m Daniel, a chef with a passion for Asian cuisine, and my Dad is an artistic craftsman with an eye for detail. Together, we’ve built a dining experience that’s as visually stunning as it is delicious.

Our story began in a humble food truck. Just five days after earning a 5-star health and safety rating, the country went into lockdown - but we didn’t stop there. By 2021, our perseverance paid off when we won the ‘People’s Choice’ award at the British Street Food Awards. Six months later, we were invited by Ossett Brewery to bring BaoBros23 to The Riverhead Brewery Tap in Marsden, Huddersfield.

Since then, we’ve grown steadily: expanding into The Bingley Arms in Wakefield, Archies Bar at Granary Wharf in Leeds, The Clock Inn in Oakwood Leeds, The Hop Inn at Granary Wharf in Leeds and most recently opened our very own takeaway shop in Kirkburton, Huddersfield.

Our menu is built around fluffy bao buns - pillowy bites of happiness filled with traditional flavours from the East, always with a modern twist. From crispy sriracha chicken to succulent pork belly or vegetarian favourites like halloumi & slaw, there’s a Bao for every palate.

Alongside, our loaded fries have earned a following of their own, topped with everything from braised brisket to pineapple chutney with chilli & ginger. Every dish is crafted to balance comfort with creativity - street food that’s bold, memorable, and a little addictive.

At BaoBros23, our love for food is the same love we’ve poured into building the business. With backgrounds in fine dining and high-end kitchens, we aim to deliver exceptional food and hospitality at prices that don’t break the bank.

Our mission is simple: to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where people can enjoy high-quality food without pretense. Every bite should feel like care, passion, and craftsmanship wrapped up in flavour.

We’re just getting started. Our future plans focus on expansion and continuing to bring the Bao experience to more communities.
